    I’m continually surprised/concerned about how little people understand the english language. if it’s your main language & you speak it ever day why would you not go to the trouble of learning it correctly?!

    Possessive apostrophes are one thing, but how can you not understand that its used to represent an omission of a character? (Do ommisive (I totally just made that word up!) apostrophes have a name like possessive apostrophes?). Oh god now I’ve used parentheses inside of parentheses & made up a word! They drive me to this!

    The misuse of either of these is one of my pet peeves.
