Urban Garden
This is the first real fruit from our little window box garden, although we’ve already taken a few leaves from the lettuce and basil plants for various meals. We’re pretty proud—we call the plants our babies.
Cherry tomatoes, romaine lettuce, thyme, parsley, oregano and basil.
Nathan built the window box and i chose the paint color. We planted the babies together and water them on days that nature doesn’t do so for us. We don’t have a proper watering can, so we use our cups instead.
I noticed today that our basil plant is blossoming. So pretty.

ooooh, pretty!!!! I want a little window box garden! So cute!
I’m sorry, I couldn’t help but lol when you said you chose the white paint color that matches the white walls out on your patio… awesome!
Very pretty pictures, though. I’m impressed by your green thumb(s).
You can’t tell from the photos, but it’s actually a particular shade of light greenish gray that matches the terrace PERFECTLY, thankyouverymuch.
oh cool! I’m sooo jealous. I really should have planted something. I have that huge porch!
Howdy. Just a quick clue. When your basil “blossoms”, it is actually going to seed. You need to cut that crap off straight away or no more basil leaves. You may have figured that out by now. Good Luck.
If you want your basil to keep producing nice big tender leaves that you can eat, you need to pinch those flowers and buds off the tops of the plants
